FORMERLY BREAKING NEWS Sunday, August 9Dinner at La Foret I finally tried the cute French restaurant near my apartment. Excellent food. A surprisingly good meal for 1st Avenue. Saturday, August 8 Hm-hm, hm-hm, in the hm-hm pool Went swimming at Brian's today. Susie, Jason, John, Jason, Matt, and Rebecca were there. We played volleyball and ate Yodels. Wednesday, August 5 The Bostonians are coming Brian's girlfriend Susie won two tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld in New York tomorrow night, with airfare and a hotel stay. We're all going out to dinner beforehand. Saturday, August 1 I have nothing to do today It's a beautiful day outside and I've already enjoyed some hoops and a walk around the neighborhood. Now I think I'll work on my home page a bit. Tuesday, July 28 Gueler was here You don't know who Gueler is? Oh. I do. He's an old friend. We ate dinner at Fiona's. The manager bought us a round of Black and Tans. Pretty cool. SPORTS Friday, August 14Free event weekend! I (think I) have tickets to the Jets game from Neal on Saturday. If not, I have a free Jets ticket from David. Nice backup, huh. Sunday I have a free ticket to the Yankee game from Mary Carter, too! Monday, August 10 Lucky Nelsons update My ESPN fantasy baseball team has extended its first-place lead to 13 points, tying a season high. Friday, August 7 We'll see you at the stadium Yankees 14, Royals 1. I sat in the lower level, just off first base, with Dave and Steve. Shane Spencer hit two home runs and David Wells pitched a good game. Tuesday, August 4 Yankee doubleheader Yanks play the A's twice today, so I have six hours of baseball to enjoy instead of three. Mike Buddie starts game two. Mike Buddie! Monday, August 3 Lucky Nelsons Update My ESPN fantasy baseball team is in first place. The Nelsons haven't fallen out of first since they ascended to the top spot in mid-June. SEX/LOVE Saturday, August 15Ex-chick spotting Debbie was at the Jets game Saturday. No great shakes there. I said, "Don't be a stranger," as we said goodbye, even though we haven't called each other in five months. She hates that. Thursday, August 6 John's friend is cute John has this coworker we hung out with (whose name I can't quite spell) who is rather cute and very friendly. Maybe I'll see her again this week. Friday, July 23 Dirt With Rachel without dirt I had this great concept for a site called Dirt With Rachel some time ago. I never created it. Drat. |
