Who and Why I Am

The skinny on my life:

I grew up in the suburbia to end all suburbias, Essex County, New Jersey, 18 miles west of Manhattan as the crow flies.

I studied English at Franklin & Marshall College (Lancaster, Pa., class of '95), where I kept quite busy: Editor in Chief of the college newspaper, The College Reporter; campus Publications intern; member of Phi Kappa Sigma, Zeta chapter; disc jockey for WFNM-FM (89.1 on your dial), and music writer for BarFly Magazine.

After graduation, a summer of Sega PGA Tour Golf, and one week employed by Wiley in book publishing, I landed at Kaplan InterActive as their Online Editorial Assistant. Spent about a year there prettifying their site and performing other entry-level-related tasks. I have been the Web Designer for BPI Communications in New York City for the last two years (see Style for more info).

This site -- i art wert, net.wert, whatever it is next -- continues to evolve whenever I have a quiet weekend or a sleepless night. Stay tuned.
